Help For Heroes Fun Day
Published 27/11/14Our fundraising day in aid of Help For Heroes was a real success. The children really enjoyed the assault course - and the inclement weather added to the enjoyment rather than detracting from it! Well done to everyone involved.

Year 5/6 Viking Days
Published 20/11/14With thanks to a generous donation from our PTFA, the children in Year 5/6 were treated to two Viking Days. On the first, we welcomed a living breathing Viking into school, bringing history alive. It will be some time before we forget the sight of axes and swords slicing so easily through a watermelon!
On the second day we had a Viking Feast, enjoying the soups, fruits and bread we had made in during our cookery sessions over the last half term.

Year 3/4 Stone Age Day
Published 20/11/14Years 3 and 4 had a fabulous day learning all about how people lived in the Stone Age. The children learnt about the clothes people wore, how they hunted, what they ate, how they ground corn for flour and much more! It was fascinating to realise how different life was in the stone age to now.

Foundation Stage Story Cafe
Published 12/11/14On Wednesday 12th November, during World Nursery Rhyme week, our Foundation Stage children invited their parents to our first Story Cafe. At the cafe, children and parents listened to 'The True Story of Humpty Dumpty', made their own Humpty and enjoyed Diwali sweets (made by the children) and drinks.

Year 5/6 at Easton Farm
Published 12/11/14All 3 classes in Years 5 and 6 recently enjoyed a day on the farm! They were able to see the milking sheds, the new calves (well and truly licked), the turkey sheds and machinery amongst other things during their morning tours. In the afternoons they were busy milling flour, extracting oil seed rape, making butter and turning wool into felt marbles.
