Kitchen and Dinners

Norse provide our schools with lunches in our on-site kitchen.

The Norse Website has been updated and contains information about menus and also dietary requirements, such as a list of allergens in all meals. Please follow the link on the right to find out more.

Children in the Foundation Stage (Year R) and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) are able to order hot lunches (only) from the menu link on the right hand side. In these year groups the children are entitled to have a free hot lunch - this is called 'Universal Free School Meals'. If parents of children in these year groups are in receipt of certain benefits (see link on right) please let the school office know, as this will provide the school with extra Pupil Premium funding. Parents of children in these year groups MUST order their lunches a week in advance, using the lunch order forms sent home.

Children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) ARE NOT entitled to 'Universal Free School meals'. Parents may choose to pay for their child to have either a  hot lunch (from the menu link on the right), as well as the 'Pick and Mix packed lunch' option and a 'jacket potato' option. Children in these year groups can make their decision and order on the day during registration period in their class.

There is always a vegetarian option available for all children daily.

Please keep payments (for KS2 lunches) up to date, as incurring debts places extra work-load on the office staff. Payments  can be made by using the envelopes provided by the school - please mark your child's full name and class/year group clearly on the front of the envelope. We accept cash (the correct amount - as we cannot give change) or cheques made payable to Dussindale Primary School. However, if parents are in in receipt of Universal credits, they can apply to Norfolk County Council for 'Free School Meals'. Until we receive confirmation from the council, a charge will be made for any lunches ordered.
