Working together with Parents & Carers
We believe that it is vital for school and family to work as closely together as possible to make sure that our children get the very best out of school.
As well as our Treasure Chest books and Learning Logs, each child has a Contact Book in which parents and teachers can communicate about any little issues. These are read every day. We also have one evening meeting per term for parents, which can be about any curriculum area or school matter; we respond to parents’ suggestions for the subjects of these meetings.
Parents/carers are invited into the classroom at least once a term to join in with a curriculum activity; we have parent consultation meetings in the Autumn and Spring terms, and also in the Summer term if you wish to discuss your child’s report.
We have a wonderful Parent, Teacher and Friends Association who raise lots of money for the school and also organise regular events to bring the school community together, such as monthly coffee mornings.
Our Parent Support Adviser is also available to help families with getting the most out of school life, from support with parenting to providing information about local services or curriculum matters.
