Evidence from the Education Endownment Foundation shows homework can accelerate progress by 3 months in primary schools.
At Dussindale Primary School homework in Year R is facilitated through Tapestry, where parents post what their child has done outside of the school day in relation to learning opportunities in school. In Years 1 – 6 homework grids are sent home every half term and in addition to reading, spelling and maths they include a range of suggested learning opportunities and activities which children can select to do according to their interests.
